Welcome to day 2 of my week as the Growing in Unity Gal! Today's project was one I have been wanting to try for a while. Like many of you, I love watching crafting videos. Sometimes, I feel like I watch more crafting videos than I spend time actually crafting. I have seen a couple of talented crafters make cards using dryer sheets. It sounds strange, but their results were gorgeous so I thought I would give it a try. To be honest, I need to practice this technique a little more.
This technique is not for anyone who is like my husband and hates to have sticky hands. I am still trying to get spray adhesive off my hands. In addition, you also use glitter so expect a bit of a mess. My 8 year old joined me on this card so I might have had a little bit bigger mess than had I crafted alone, but I love my crafting time with her so it was worth it,
For this project I used Unity's A Joyous Season stamp set. It was the October 2016 sentiment stamp set and it has wonderful images and greetings. You will also need a used dryer sheet, spray adhesive, and glitter as well as your favorite ink. You start by stamping your images on cardstock. For our cards, we just used one layer. You then take a used dryer sheet and spray with the adhesive. You then attach that to your card and sprinkle the glitter on it. Once you tap off the extra glitter, you can trim the dryer sheet to fit the card. My daughter and I finished by adding baker's twine.
The picture does not do these cards justice as you can't see all of the sparkle. I will continue to practice this technique and I hope to master it after a few more tries. Please comment with any tips if you have tried this technique and got amazing results. I love to learn from others. If you are not familiar with this technique, you can search on YouTube under dryer sheet cards and you will get some very talented crafters demonstrating the process. Maybe some day I will feel confident enough to post a video on this technique. Not there yet.
In the picture, my daughter's card is on top corner and mine is the bottom corner. Night bad for our first attempt. Have a great day and don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win! See you tomorrow for day 3!

I think I tried this technique a long time ago but had forgotten about it! Yours turned out really nice! So nice to have a daughter to craft with!!
Good for you for trying new techniques. They turned out nice.
Love the effect of the gray, black and soft white... very well done.
I have never heard of this technique. Your cards are beautiful, I am excited to try this. I love that your daughter creates with you!
